INTERGRAPH Z/I DMC

Camera system is equipped with automatic features for planning, GPS supported navigation, execution and evaluation tool, forward image motion compensation (FMC), full angular motion compensation (AMC) due to use of gyro-mount (TA-S), high resolution Zeiss optics, all resulting in 3-4cm minimal GSD. GPS/IMU postprocessing is supported by Novatel OM4 L1/L2 2Hz receiver and IGI’s Aerocontol IId 128Hz IMU system used for GPS/INS direct georeferencing.

In November 2008 camera was upgraded to the latest versions regarding:

• firmware (v.1.7)

• antiblooming which minimises oversaturation in the area of total reflections

• IMU integration with camera flight management system in order to record gimbal values of gyro-mount and automatic drift compensation function.

 

Onboard storage capacity for 2200 images in all five bands (PAN, R,G,B, IR) with 12bit radiometric resolution for each band.

 

The last calibration: February  2009, at Authorised Calibration Center Z/I Aalen .

 

EQUIPMENT FOR IMAGE PROCESSING

• Copystation with 3 sets of 250Gb disks for backup and sending raw images from field to the Geoin headquarters for processing.

• PPS (post processing sw.) and DIA (DMC image analyst) software by Z/I version 6 with improved radiometry for natural color appearance.

• PPS server with 6TB RAID storage

 

PLANNING SOFTWARE Z/I MISSION

• planning (blocks, lines and single photographs)

• 3D analysis of mission parameters (forward overlap, side lap, GSD)

• reporting (input parameters for PPS software, index plot)

EQUIPMENT FOR IMAGE POSITIONING GPS/IMU

In May 2006 IGI’s Aerocontrol IId inertial measuring unit was installed inside DMC. System has next hardware and software components:

• Aerocontrol IId IMU (128Hz)

• Airborne Computer Unit (CAE) with integrated 12-channel L1/L2 GPS receiver and L1/L2 GPS antenna

• GrafNav SW for GPS kinematic trajectory postprocessing

• Aeroffice for GPS/IMU postprocessing
